Installers
Who actually calls back
The hard part of switching is not the math. It is finding an installer with capacity who calls you back. This page will list installers only after they answer real test calls.
No installers are listed yet. We are not going to invent a list. The first installers will appear here once they have been called and have answered.
How the callback test will work
- We start from the official network. Only contractors in the Mass Save Heat Pump Installer Network qualify customers for the Mass Save heat pump rebate, so we only call those (and Mass Save insulation contractors for weatherization).
- We call as a homeowner, during business hours. Several calls, on different days. We record whether a person answered, how long a callback took, whether they asked sensible questions (heating load, panel, weatherization) and whether they gave a lead time.
- We publish plain results. Answered live, called back within a day, no callback. No stars, no testimonials. If an installer pays to be listed, that is disclosed on its row, and payment does not change the callback result.
The table, once it exists
| Installer | Service area | Answered live | Callback time | Current lead time | Paid listing? |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Empty on purpose. No installers have been tested yet. | |||||
Disclosure
Leaving Oil is an independent guide. Listed installers may pay to be listed. We may also be paid when we send a homeowner request to an installer. Neither affects the calculator, the rebate figures or the callback results. Mass Save and its sponsors do not endorse this site.
